EPIXC joins other DOE-sponsored projects presenting to Southeast Texas leaders during Carbon Summit

On Nov. 1, 2023 the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce hosted the 3rd Annual Carbon Summit at the Bob Bowers Civic Center.

Approximately 260 individuals from industry, academia, not-for-profits, small businesses, Community Benefits Organizations (CBOs), community members, local unions, elected and government officials gathered to hear about a diverse group of large Department of Energy-sponsored projects for industrial decarbonization slated for the Texas Golden Triangle (Port Arthur, Orange and Beaumont Texas).

Projects included CCUS, the HyVelocity Hydrogen Hub and EPIXC, Electrification Processes for Industry without Carbon.

On behalf of EPIXC, Dr. Maria Curry-Nkansah provided an overview presentation featuring technical and social impact goals for the institute. Positive follow-up engagement resulted from the audience leading to the establishment of several important contacts for potential collaborations.
