EPIXC will promote the development of much-needed system-level assessments for economics, lifecycle, market transformation, supply chain and social impact.

The lack of TEA, LCA and other relevant tools represents a major barrier to the investment and adoption of electric heating technologies. A comprehensive analysis program will be established and applied to all EPIXC efforts. Tasks in this area will be coordinated with other activities taking place in the Institute, allowing it to achieve its goals most effectively. Here, EPIXC will address electrical process heating technology in the broader context of the manufacturing enterprise, supply chain, and society at-large, elucidating the ripple effects of technology selection on infrastructure and communities, such as access to clean energy and employment opportunities.
